MR25 BBQ Night 4th August 2012 Report

MR25 BBQ Night 4th August 2012

It was a bright afternoon, when 12 runners from MR25 and friends gathered at BBQ Pit C32. They started the run at 5:00pm and ran all the way to the Bedok Jetty and back covering a total of approximately 12 Kilometres. As it was just a social run, timing were not taken.

Come 7:00pm when the sun began to set. It is time for BBQ to start. By then members and friends and family grew to 30.

It was a time of chit chatting and makan makan (Malay word for eat). Our master chef, Jason did a fabulous job in Bar Bee Queuing the chicken wings and seafood. It was a truly enjoyable time for those who turned up with much to eat and a lot to talk.

Food was in abundance with the hard work prepared by the following persons; Steven Lee brought a bottle of Red Wine and Stingray and Prawns for BBQ, Dylan Ng brought chicken wings marinated in oyster sauce and adobo (Tagalog – sorry don’t know the meaning) sauce, Daniel Chia brought the curry puff and cocktail, juice and soft drinks, Ng Thiam Loke brought a big juicy watermelon and finally Chan Ah Kow prepared the noodles and appetizers.

It was a wonderful evening and the committee would like to thank the following sponsors:-

Ng Thiam Loke for contributing $150.00

Steven Lee for contributing the Red Wine and Seafood

Dylan Ng for contributing $70.00

The committee is considering organising another get together and hope more members would turn up bringing along their family and friends. However we need ideas on what’s best for our members. So if you have some worthwhile suggestions on how we could organised a more conducive and enjoyable gathering do write in.

Thank you.
