Age-Graded Performance Index – Oct

MR25 5km Time Trial Age-graded Performance Index Leaderboard

After three rounds of 5km Time Trial, there is no change to the Top-3 positions in the leaderboard. Tony Seakins has, however, extended his lead with another improvement, this time with a 22:30 performance at the third trial in October.

The following is the updated leaderboard:

For runners not aware, our club introduced this 5km Age-graded Performance Index Leaderboard from June 2023 5km Time Trial to generate some fun and friendly competitions among participants of our bimonthly 5km Time Trial.

The MR25 Age-graded Performance Index attempts to normalize the physiological difference in performance due to gender and age. It is constructed based on statistics obtained from the performances of runners internationally. Ranking of this score allows competition across all age groups and both genders, adding some fun to the competition. (The leaderboard will be posted on our website http://mr25.org.sg/api/ )

2023 MR25 ULTRAMARATHON

Our annual year-end Ultramarathon is back!

This year, we will be adopting a new two-stage race format:

Preliminaries (Nov, virtual race – best effort to run as many 10.5 km Macritchie loops as you can within 7 am to 7 pm in a day)
Finals (31 Dec, 7 am to 7 pm, in-person race)

This year, there will be 4 race categories:
1) Men’s Open
2) Women’s Open
3) Men’s Closed (MR25 members only)
4) Women’s Closed (MR25 members only)

Top 5 runners from each category and top 8 of the remaining participants in the Preliminaries stage will be invited to compete in the Finals on 31 Dec 2023 (7 am to 7pm, venue TBC).

MR25 2023 Ultra Marathon Registration is now open

Regular registration period (till 15 September 2023). Please register soon if you are interested to participate but haven’t done so, so as to avoid paying the higher late registration fees.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!

We are celebrating 47 years since Dr. Siak Chong Leng and fellow founders started MR25 Running Club.

Thanks to our dedicated members, especially those in the early days, our club has grown into one of the most respectable running clubs in the country. This journey has been truly remarkable.

In our close-knit club, lasting friendships have blossomed. United by a love for running, and led by batches of leaders and selfless volunteers, members have supported each other in achieving personal goals and running accomplishments. Cheers to the spirit that has carried us through these years, and to the many more miles we will journey together.

May the years ahead bring even more togetherness, achievements, and treasured memories.
